Here I am instructing my fifth through eighth graders during our annual cross country ski outing to Huron Meadows. Including outdoor pursuits within my PE curriculum is challenging but highly rewarding.
The students appreciate learning a new sport they most likely would never had tried. It is also grounding in that most students have never done this type of activity so they are learning, falling, laughing, and enjoying the process together. |
